well....

I'm not so great at this blogging thing... I still need to post pictures of our house! My friend M has been asking me to send pics since we moved in almost 3 months ago and I just haven't gotten around to it. How lousy.
So this past weekend was wonderful! Friday night after school I worked the gate at our football game and then got to go sit with some wonderful friends who came to the game for homecoming. Sitting with those girls was so fun and reminded me of high school. Only this time we were all sitting with our husbands :) So later that night, Blake and I tried to stay up and watch a movie, but both fell asleep on the couch. I woke up about midnight and got up to go to the bathroom before going on to bed and found that our water was shut off! I immediately blamed Blake and wrongly accused him of not paying our water bill. He said that wasn't it (responsible him!) and told me it would probably be back in the morning. Well, Saturday morning I woke at about 7:30 and checked the faucet and still no water! ugh... so Blake decides we should drive around and check things out... come to find out the street by our house was being worked on. We got home and Blake called the police station and found out that our entire neighborhood was shut off and they didn't know when it would be back.
After that adventure we were hosting breakfast with Core 4 and husbands. Stephanie and Andrea both came into town and we had the opportunity to get together for the first time since our wedding. Such a fun time. I'm blessed with such great friends. Midway through our water came back too!
Then Blake and I packed up and headed to Stillwater for the OSU v Grambling State game. Fun time, even though it was a blow out. It was really cool to see their band!
Sunday morning we didn't go to our church, we headed to my cousin Sonny's to see his daughter get baptized. What a blessing that their little girl has been brought up to know that Jesus is her Savior so early in life! She's 8. What an opportunity for a lifetime of service.
Then lunch and Hideaway (yummm!) with the whole family and then an afternoon of lounging and watching movies. GREAT weekend.

We're getting there

Well, we've officially been married for 1M, 19D and it has flown by! We're finally beginning to feel normal living together. It's funny how that works, but we're having a wonderful time.

We're starting to get settled into the new house, but it's a long process. A lot of trips to Lowe's, that's for sure! I'll post pictures soon!
